Hi. My name was Alyssa Svoboda.
At age 10, I discovered that I had two older brothers who I had never known about until one suddenly reappeared on my family's doorsteps.
At age 12, I discovered that the reason that I was so different from everyone else was because I am autistic; a reason much simpler and infinitely more complex than the earlier given excuse "The other kids are just jealous of you."
At age 14, I discovered that my mother had lied to me about my name, because she didn't want to have to admit to me that, not only was she not married to my father when I was born, but that she didn't always love him.
Now going by my nickname/ legal name, let me re-introduce myself.
