The Journal of Steve Baba Summer time

I just wanted to say Happy Summer for those who are in school and are now celebrating the summer off. I am one of those students and I actually will have six months off from school. My summer/six month vacation started in early June and I have been loving it so far. I will be writing a lot this summer and during the six months off. Got a ton of poems written and will start submitting them for publication in the fall. Got to rewrite and revise and scrap the poems I've written and that will take a while.
I am going to New York City in the fall for 2-3 weeks just to see the city and write. It will be an unofficial writer's retreat for me and I am really looking forward to it. I will also be going back home to London next year for a couple of months, and I am really looking forward to that as well. I'll be buying a ton of poetry books as well as sign up on various poetry organization memberships as well as subscribing to some poetry magazines as well. This fall will be awesome and I'm going to have a lot of fun as well as some writing epiphanies. My poetry writing is going well and I have over 2000 poems written. I'm guessing that I'll only be keeping 15% of those poems as I usually dump a lot and revise and rewrite the others. I will post some new poems on here soon, maybe in the next month or so.
Ok, so I've written a lot for myself. I hardly write here so here you go. Hope all is well for all of my fellow poets on this site, and happy writing!

From what you've written, along with the content, it does appear that it's been a while. Please do share. I look forward to getting to know you better as we travel along this writer's journey.. I see that you have lived in Honolulu... How long did you live and are you planning on returning? Do tell....until then, alisa ;-) |
