The Journal of Julie Adams

Emily Bronte

as I read her words
Bronte punctuation
punctures thoughts
into runaway balloons

sending my thoughts
on voyages
like luggage, they materialize

into matter (of mind)
of fact of thought of physical
being
on paper, of course

I am currently Reflective
I am listening to the soothing hiss of the radiator

very nice. You could post it in the poems, it's lovely. Isn't it amazing how these women from that time still affect us in their writing? I read recently that those writers formed the first concepts of love etc. in many of us, ie. the classics like Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, made such an impact on women.
