This last trip was an overwhelming reminder of the passage of time. I must do what I can do while I am able to do it. It was wonderful to visit friends and family and be joyfully aware of a life (high school graduate) just getting off the ground. But it was also a deepening awareness that life is short at best. Cousins with heart attacks, cancer operations or treatment, empty seats, retired years, lined faces, limited mobility; all testimonies to the passage of time. Yet, with the ancient writer I must say, "the lines have fallen to me in pleasant places." God, revealed in Christ, makes life glorious, even in the aging process.
I am currently Reflective
I am listening to The sounds of the air filter.
